Former US Marine and Republican commentator John Deaton claims the war in Iran is a “gift that keeps on giving” for Democrats, as surging oil prices coincide with the approaching midterms. “The Iran war, according to the Democrats, is the gift that keeps on giving because obviously, oil prices are spiking, summer travel in the United States,” Mr Deaton told News24. “The House is pretty much a guarantee that it’s going to go Democrat, and the question is, can the Democrats flip four Senate seats in the United States Senate? “If so, President Trump could be looking at the next two years on investigations and subpoenas in both Houses.”
