Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer fears the Democrats haven’t learned the key lessons from COVID-19. “They’ve learned nothing,” Mr Hammer told News24 host Rita Panahi. “The public health authorities, I fear gravely, have learned nothing. “There is a very good possibility that there is going to be another pandemic … in my lifetime, in our lifetime. “If you don’t learn any of the right lessons, and above all, if there’s no accountability, if there's no justice for those who repeatedly got it wrong, then I fear it’s just going to happen all over again. “That is personally what I am concerned about.”
