Newsweek Senior Editor-at-Large Josh Hammer believes Anthony Fauci invoking the Fifth Amendment shows his lawyers were “scared” of him perjuring himself over and over. ​“Anthony Fauci … could have said I committed every federal crime ... and he can’t be touched,” Mr Hammer told News24 host Rita Panahi. ​“The fact that he felt compelled to plead the Fifth shows that his lawyers were just so scared that this guy just can’t tell the truth because he’s going to perjure himself over and over again.”
