News24 Defence Analyst Peter Jennings discusses the prospect of a peaceful resolution with Iran as tensions over the Strait of Hormuz continue to escalate. “[Donald Trump] dearly wants the Iranians to come to a deal, whatever a deal means, and the Iranians keep showing that in fact, they’re playing a hard game for the long term; they want to keep control of the Strait of Hormuz,” Mr Jennings told News24 host Steve Price. “I don’t think we are going to see some sort of successful, peaceful outcome in the next few days.”
