President Trump signed an executive order Monday to establish the President's Military Spouse Commission that will advise the president on policies to improve the quality of life for military families. "The commission will develop suggestions to address particular challenges in housing, employment, healthcare, education, childcare and just about everything else you can think of," the president announced at the Oval Office. Jennifer Rauchet, wife of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will chair the commission. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin's wife, Christie Mullin, and military spouses of service secretaries, Joint Chiefs of Staff and each branch's senior enlisted leaders will be members of the commission. "America cannot have the strongest military in the world without the love and devotion of our remarkable military spouses, who make the extraordinary sacrifices for our country," President Trump said. #executiveorder #militaryspouses #commission #cspan
