News24 host James Macpherson believes Labor's proposal to ban gambling advertisements during daytime television and school pick-up hours is a rare policy that deserves support. Every now and then, the Albanese Government accidentally stumbles onto a good idea. And here's one, rare enough, that in my view it deserves polite applause,” Mr Macpherson said. “Labor wants to ban gambling advertising on television between 6am and 8.30pm, and on radio during school pick-up and drop-off times. “That the Labor Government recognises gambling advertising is not harmless marketing is a good thing and I for one am glad they're proposing to do more to restrict it.”
