It's been a minute since I've seen the fandom get so divided so quickly over an announcement for a Stephen King project. As soon as Mike Flanagan and a new adaptation of The Mist appeared on my screen, my first thought was, 'Why?!' And I know I wasn't the only person on the internet asking whether another version was really needed. After all, The Mist has been adapted a few times before. The one we all most likely know, at least, is Frank Darabont's 2007 film featuring Thomas Jane, Laurie Holden, Toby Jones, and Marcia Gay Harden, which I immediately think of because of...that ending. #MikeFlanagan #TheMist #StephenKing #warnerbros
