A discarded SpaceX rocket is said to have crashed into the moon, but so far there is no confirmation the space junk has slammed into the lunar surface. An abandoned SpaceX rocket drifting in space for more than a year is said to have slammed into the moon at seven times the speed of sound. A NASA spokesperson says there is “no danger” to Earth.
