Many Democrats are celebrating after a progressive candidate narrowly beat Rep. Haley Stevens, a centrist, to win the party's Michigan Senate primary. The Democrats need to flip at least four seats currently held by Republicans to take control of the U.S. Senate, assuming the party successfully defends all of their own seats up for election.
