News24 host Sharri Markson says ABC only apologised to Gina Rinehart for its despicable clip because of mounting pressure from the public and other media outlets. “They didn't do this willingly. They didn't do it because it was the right thing to do,” Ms Markson said. “People were horrified that the ABC could publish, and then stand by content as vile as this. “Even Albanese government ministers were forced to concede that it wasn't appropriate content “The only reason the ABC is apologising now is that it's clearly worried about a lawsuit from Gina Rinehart. "A lawsuit it knows it wouldn't win. Because its content is so egregious. So violent. So inappropriate. It would be indefensible.”
