The Prime Minister will host a brief media availability in Saguenay, Que., on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. ET after touring a local aluminum facility. Trade talks continue between Canada and the U.S., with steep new 50 per cent tariffs set to take effect on Aug. 19. The visit comes as Canada and the U.S. continue trade negotiations ahead of new U.S. tariffs set to take effect on Aug. 19. During a housing announcement in Red Deer, Alta., on July 29, Carney said Canada is expanding it's trade relationships internationally, adding that "everybody wants to do more with Canada, except the United States."
