Spiked Online Editor Tom Slater reacts to Westminster Council's plan to crack down on UK pubs by banning customers from ordering drinks at the bar and standing. “Soho is known for people kind of spilling out onto the pavement, standing outside with a drink, largely because there are so few pubs these days, there is so little room in them that people have to stand outside,” Mr Slater told News24 host Caleb Bond. “Insisting venues make people sit down is only going to hit the bottom line of these already struggling pubs.”
