Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) on Friday praised the passage of a Russia sanctions bill that was renamed in honor of her late brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who was its lead sponsor. "This legislation was deeply important to my brother, Lindsey, and I'm grateful that this bill has achieved such a wide coalition of support," she told reporters after the 86–11 vote. If approved by the House and signed into law, the legislation would impose new sanctions on Russia, renew sanctions on Iran, and give President Trump new authority to impose tariffs on major buyers of Russian energy products. "He believed that this was the most consequential piece of legislation that he had ever led and I'm proud to have carried the torch to the finish line," Sen. Graham said of her brother. "Lindsey was committed to achieving a peaceful resolution to this war and I'm confident these sanctions will pave the way." #cspan #darlinegraham #russiasanctions #news
