United States Studies Centre Honorary Associate Dr Harry Melkonian claims Americans should take Abdul El-Sayed’s victory in the Michigan Senate primary “very seriously". ​“The turnout was one of the highest we’ve seen in primaries, which means this was not just a fluke,” Dr Melkonian told News24. “He was able to win against an establishment Democrat who was very well funded, and he took some pretty strong positions.”
