United States Studies Centre Honorary Associate Dr Harry Melkonian reacts to Iran's claim that a deal with Oman is underway to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. “The US certainly doesn't want to be a permanent policeman in the Strait,” Dr Melkonian told News24. “If it’s an agreement among the Gulf States, the US could very well go along with it.”
