On 20 October 2006, a headless body was found outside Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Along with the body was a handwritten letter addressed to the Delhi Police. What made the case even more disturbing was that an anonymous caller had informed the police about the body. This is the story of Chandrakant Jha, one of Delhi’s most notorious serial killers, and the investigation that connected him to a series of disappearances and murders. In this episode of Crime Seen, we follow the investigation from the first body found outside Tihar Jail to the identification of the victim, the discovery of more bodies, Chandrakant Jha’s arrest, the forensic evidence against him, his court trials, and the later legal developments in his case.
