News24 contributor Caroline Di Russo highlights how migrant communities who embraced Australian values and worked to build the country now want immigration levels controlled to protect the character and prosperity they helped create. “When you look at the generation of immigrants that you were talking about there in the documentary, these are people who came here with absolutely nothing who worked and probably still work 7 days a week,” Ms Di Russo told News24 host Chris Kenny. “[They] bought into this country, bought into our values and want to see our country prosper. “That there is a really important slice of what makes this country special. “Quality not just quantity.”
