Stephen King is the undisputed king of horror. His novels range from creepy clowns to fatal fogs that shelter dangerous Lovecraftian monsters that will all haunt your nightmares. If I had to choose one of his works that is a definite cultural milestone, I would pick IT. Now, I don’t have any scientific data to back it, but I could bet my left arm that this 1986 novel single-handedly induced coulrophobia in a bunch of people who made the mistake of reading it in their formative years. If that was not enough, the novel has received two major screen adaptations. Once in 1990 as a television miniseries with Tim Curry playing the murderous supernatural clown Pennywise, and once again as a two-part film adaptation released in 2017 and 2019 with Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise. #WelcomeToDerry #WelcomeToDerrySeason2 #StephenKingIT #itwelcometoderry
