For the vast majority of mutants, they first develop their abilities or have their powers manifested during periods of intense stress or strong, overwhelming emotions, but later, a select few of the mutants also undergo a secondary or even tertiary mutation, and this could be because of several different factors. Now, a secondary mutation does not always mean that the mutant would receive a completely new set of powers that are cooler than what they already had. I mean, it could very well unlock a new ability or increase an existing one, but it could also alter the mutant’s physical appearance. Sometimes, all three happen at once. These mutations usually appear during a mutant’s twenties and often under severe emotional or physical pressure. #XMen #Mutants #SecondaryMutation #xmencomics
