Some parents ‘cuckoo’ enough to move states for gender affirming care

Journalist Stella Escobedo discusses the possibilities of people moving states where gender affirming surgeries can still be performed on minors. “It’s a lot more work for parents to get up leave,” Ms Escobedo told News24 host Rita Panahi. “The situations I’ve seen is where parents split up and one is cuckoo and wants to transition their child. “If this is a federal law and these hospitals are also not going to get federal funding, I think it’s going to be even harder to do gender affirming care.”
