One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce warns the $1 billion taxpayer-funded package for the Tomago aluminium smelter will only delay its problems unless the Albanese Government tackles Australia’s crippling energy prices. “A billion dollars won’t do it; I want Tomago to survive, and a billion dollars is a band-aid on an amputation,” Mr Joyce said. “Unless you deal with the actual issues, which are energy prices, this is really going to be a slight reprieve before the ultimate finale.”
