News24 Washington Correspondent Jonathan Kearsley says the Democratic Party is “split down the middle” and needs to have a united front before the 2028 elections. “It doesn’t surprise me she [Francesca Hong] lost that election campaign,” Mr Kearsley told News24 host Peta Credlin. “Look at the real narrow margin that we saw in the Michigan Senate primary last week … what that is telling you is in key crucial states the Democrats need to be a united front … it’s almost a split down the middle. “That tells you in key areas, this party has an identity crisis.”
