News24 host Andrew Bolt reacts to Labor’s $2.5 billion Tomago Aluminium bailout as energy policy in Australia continues to fail. “No wonder this country is going broke under Anthony Albanese’s economically incompetent government,” Mr Bolt said. “Today the prime minister went to the Tomago smelter in NSW's Hunter Valley, the Labor seat of Paterson, to say he and Labor Premier Chris Minns would give the smelter $2.5 billion. “But government today also dressed this up as a way to cut emissions and get more wind and solar power to prop up its failing green agenda … Really, the idea of running a giant smelter on wind and solar is an expensive joke.”
