Toronto’s fire chief is sounding the alarm again about the dangers of lithium-ion batteries, after an early morning fire in a downtown apartment building. It’s the latest on a long list of similar fires, with three fires involving lithium-ion batteries seen in Toronto over the last 24 hours. This one sent three people to hospital and as Global’s Sean O’Shea reports. It’s sparking concern that more needs to be done to regulate these batteries.
