News24 host James Macpherson condemns a proposal for a Sydney Mosque to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer, arguing it goes far beyond multicultural symbolism and represents a direct challenge to Australia’s Christian heritage. “Anyone who knows what the call of prayer is understands it's not just a nice part of the multicultural tapestry,” Mr Macpherson told News24 host Andrew Bolt. “Anyone who knows anything about the call to prayer knows it’s not the equivalent of church bells; it’s a direct assault on the Christian faith.”
