Luigi Mangione’s lawyers are reportedly preparing to meet federal prosecutors for a potential plea deal. He is facing two federal charges of stalking resulting in death after he allegedly murdered UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison. He is also facing separate state trial over Mr Thompson’s death but has pleaded not guilty to all charges in both cases.
