Toronto police have released the results of Project Compass, a large-scale probe into break-and-enters of condos across the city. The operation, detailed Thursday, resulted in the recovery of 2,500+ belongings – more than $1 million worth of valuables, including gold and jewellery. Authorities recovered most of the stolen items from a pawn shop on Queen St. East, which was allegedly converting the stolen items into cash. The owner of said store is currently part of the investigation but has not been charged. Three others are now facing a total of 150 charges, conspiracy to commit and indictable offence, disguise with intent, break-and-enter, and possession of proceeds of crime,” Insp. Joseph Matys said.
