Luigi Mangione has admitted to killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson while pleading guilty to federal stalking charges. Mr Mangione told the court in New York he shot the executive and had been stalking him with the intent to kill. In a statement, Brian Thompson’s family described the guilty plea as an “important step towards justice”.
