Trump was on Long Island to throw his support behind NY GOP governor candidate Bruce Blakeman, who is running against Kathy Hochul. The president's event with Blakeman is being described as a forum on public safety. The White House said the president will highlight his record on crime and safety, and release new FBI crime statistics showing a decrease in violent crime in 2025.
