The UK Parliamentary Standards Commissioner has resumed an investigation into Reform UK Leader Nigel Farage following his win in the Clacton by-election. Mr Farage resigned as an MP and triggered the vote after facing weeks of scrutiny over financial support he received before the 2024 general election. He won the seat comfortably but did not attend the count, citing a “credible threat” against him. Essex Police said there were no security incidents during voting or at the count. Count Binface, who finished second, also commented on Mr Farage’s absence.
