Ontario's Doug Ford government is celebrating a major legal win in the ongoing battle over bike lanes in Downtown Toronto. Ontario's highest court has ruled the removal of the lanes doesn't violate Charter rights, giving the province the green light to get rid of them. Cyclists and activists are unhappy about the decision. "I think it's crazy, absolutely crazy that we're debating bike lanes in 2026? Like what other world-class city is debating bike lanes? Debate is over — they make sense," Gideon Forman, a cyclist, said. Global's Sean O' Shea was at University Avenue and found out more about what people thought of the ruling.
