A satellite image shows Devighat in Nuwakot before the August 26 flash flood, with homes and settlements visible along the river. After the flood, the same area was submerged and covered with mud, boulders and debris carried by the massive flow. The destruction was so severe that even areas away from the river were affected. Behind the reporter is an old-age home where elderly residents were eating when the flood hit. Those who could escape moved upstairs, while five to six bodies have been recovered from the building so far, according to locals. #NepalFlood #NepalFloods #FlashFlood #NepalDisaster #Nuwakot #Devighat #FloodAftermath #NaturalDisaster #GroundReport #RescueOperation #Jist #JistNews
