Vice President JD Vance addressed Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s (D) comments about Second Lady Usha Vance on Monday at a campaign rally in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Mr. El-Sayed posted on X, "So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no…," in response to Vance saying he would "love to go back in time and tell my papaw that there is a man--who says not only should we have sharia law, but if you criticize it, you are a white supremacist." "He has a weird habit of talking about my family," Vance said. "I think the people of Michigan would like you to talk about the public policy ideas you have to make their lives better." Vance went on to criticize El-Sayed’s record on issues affecting Michigan auto workers, saying Mr. El-Sayed has been "supporting every single policy that has undercut the wages and jobs of Michigan auto workers" throughout his life in public service. #cspan #jdvance #ushavance #abdulelsayed #news
