Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke Tuesday in Ottawa after the Liberals swept three federal byelections on Monday night. Carney also spoke about why trade talks broke down with the United States and said it wasn’t just one issue that the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement on, but several. “Yes, there is a mutually beneficial deal — there were elements of a mutually beneficial deal we were moving towards which is why we were still at the table — but we never viewed that we had that deal,” the PM said. Carney continued saying that, “At some point it may converge again (on trade talks resuming)… but what’s a clear message from last night on three very different ridings across this great, diverse country is that Canadians are behind the plan of the government.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/12042780/vote-count-toronto-chicoutimi-vancouver-byelections-results/ Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Follow Global News on X HE
