Georgia Republican Senate nominee Mike Collins is dismissing a federal ethics investigation as a “nothing burger” after a bipartisan watchdog found substantial reason to believe congressional resources were misused involving payments to his former chief of staff’s girlfriend. Investigators say Collins and others failed to cooperate, prompting a unanimous recommendation that the House Ethics Committee issue subpoenas, while Jon Ossoff is now demanding Collins answer questions under oath. With Georgia emerging as one of the country’s most consequential Senate races, the allegations and Collins’ response are becoming impossible to brush aside. Ring of Fire's Josh G. explains.
