Canadian Secretary of State for Sport Adam van Koeverden was in Toronto Tuesday to tour Able Sail, an organization that provides sailing opportunities for people living with disabilities Participants took part in sailing on Lake Ontario, with the Secretary saying he believes that “access to the water… should be universal,” which is why the federal government is investing in outdoor sport. Before setting sail, van Koeverden spoke with media, while wearing a hat that read “Lake Ontario, actually.” When asked about his thoughts on U.S. President Donald Trump signing an executive order to change the lake’s name to ‘Lake America’ last week, the Secretary jumped to the great lake’s defence. "It’s Lake Ontario today… it’s been Lake Ontario for longer than Canada has been a country, and certainly longer than the United States has had a president.” For more info, please go to https://globalnews.ca/news/12041798/google-maps-canadian-websites-lake-america/ Subscribe to Global News Chan
