Rep. Chuck Edwards texted his colleagues a 22-page letter fighting the House Ethics Committee's recommendation that he be censured. The panel found substantial evidence of persistent unprofessional and inappropriate conduct toward two young female staffers, one still in college when she started. It is the first censure recommendation the committee has issued since 2010, and the vote could come next month. The letter lists what Edwards says is not misconduct, including poetry, which appears because staffers testified he cried while reading a poem he wrote for a departing young employee. Edwards is 65 and has already dropped his reelection bid. Ring of Fire's Josh G. explains.
