Adam Wingard had one of the most humble beginnings as a filmmaker. He started off as an indie director and made micro-budget films like Pop Skull, but Wingard really caught everyone’s eyes when he did the horror action, You're Next (2011) and the action thriller The Guest (2014). Naturally, studios wanted to fold Wingard under their wings, and hence began his saga of rehashing established IPs. Soon, Wingard’s name was attached to projects like the Godzilla x Kong movies, Blair Witch and Death Note. But I guess Wingard decided it was time to go back to his roots and say, “Let me make something completely insane.” The result is Onslaught. Onslaught is a nasty and gloriously pulpy action horror that doesn’t shy away from throwing in throwback moments straight out of an old VHS tape from the 1980s. #Onslaught #OnslaughtMovie #OnslaughtReview #adamwingard
