Army Secretary Dan Driscoll has resigned after reportedly raising concerns with Trump about leadership, modernization, and the growing dysfunction inside Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon. His departure follows the removal or exit of senior commanders across the Army, Navy, Air Force, intelligence community, and combatant commands, leaving key military positions filled by acting officials while the United States remains at war. With reports that Hegseth is eyeing his own political future, the personnel crisis increasingly looks like what happens when loyalty, ego, and internal power struggles outrank competence.
