News24 Defence Analyst Peter Jennings says the sacking of two senior generals by Chinese President Xi Jinping shows a “one-man show” is emerging. ”I think Xi Jinping is frustrated that he’s not getting the advice that he wants to get out of his generals about how to go about preparing for an attack on Taiwan,” Mr Jennings told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. “It’s not a good sign, and it shows the emergence of Xi Jinping essentially as a one-man show, not only in terms of the Chinese economy, but also in terms of the military planning, and I don’t think we should see that as a positive development.”
