I have always believed that the best movie monsters are the ones that usually drive us to question ourselves instead of simply making us jump. That is exactly why the concept of a Wendigo has fascinated me for such a long time. Unlike vampires, werewolves, or zombies, the Wendigo was not created as entertainment. It actually rose from the oral traditions of several Algonquian- speaking Indigenous peoples, where these creatures served as a warning about greed, selfishness, and what happens when a person allows endless hunger to consume both their body and soul. While many people know the creature as a towering, antlered beast that stalks snowy forests, that is actually just a modern Hollywood interpretation rather than the traditional folklore. #Wendigo #WendigoMovie #HorrorMovies #creaturefeature
