Katter’s Australian Party MP Bob Katter launches an attack on Treasurer Jim Chalmers over household debt crippling Australians and plunging birth rates. “The hyper-inflating cost of living cripples 25 per cent of Australians trying to raise kids on a single income,” Mr Katter said during Question Time on Monday. “A $75,000 birthing payment would help arrest Australia’s plunging birth rates.”
