From Saket and Rohini to Lalita Park, Delhi has witnessed multiple building collapses linked to issues such as unauthorized construction, structural alterations, weak foundations, lack of approvals and alleged administrative lapses. In this video, we examine what happened in Satya Niketan, why Delhi continues to face building collapse incidents, the scale of illegal construction in the capital, and whether existing enforcement mechanisms are capable of identifying dangerous buildings before tragedy strikes.
