No matter how familiar you are with the character, whenever you hear the name Batman, chances are you think of a dark, brooding superhero who roams the streets of Gotham at night to keep them free of crime. Even if you are a fanboy of the Snyder movies, the Nolan movies, or Batman: The Animated Series, one thing that remains constant across these adaptations is the character's grim and serious tone. And that makes sense, since Batman originated from a dark and tragic night in Gotham City with the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne. While I absolutely love the gritty Batman, especially the version of the character in Batman: The Animated Series, I also love the versions where the character embraces his campy, fun side. The Adam West 1960s live-action Batman series ran with that idea and is still fondly remembered as a cult classic. #BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold #TheBraveAndTheBold #DCU #DCUniverse #jamesgunn
