News24 host James Macpherson shocked by NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani signing 9/11 executive orders before handing the ceremonial pen to an attorney who had defended an al-Qaeda terrorist. “If you told Americans in the wake of 9/11 that 25 years later the city would have a Muslim mayor, I think there probably would have been some raised eyebrows,” Mr Macpherson said. “But if you told them that on the eve of the 9/11 anniversary the Muslim mayor would sign 9/11 executive orders and then hand the ceremonial pen used to sign those documents to an attorney who had defended an al-Qaeda terrorist. “I reckon there would have been complete disbelief. “That’s exactly what happened this week.”
