News24 host James Macpherson questions why the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks has focused so heavily on Muslim backlash rather than the almost 3,000 Americans murdered by Islamic jihadists. “This week the world marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attack, a day that changed the world forever,” Mr Macpherson said. “Almost 3,000 Americans were murdered that day by Islamic jihadis. But on the 25th Anniversary, you wouldn't know it was Americans who were targeted. “Consider these headlines from USA Today, 25 Years after 9/11: Many Muslims Fear a Backlash; from Newsday: being Muslim on Long Island after 9/11 and now. Stories of Hatred and Healing. “It does strike me as incredibly strange that on the anniversary of a shocking attack on Americans by Islamic extremists, so much of the focus is on the welfare of Muslims.”
