The Canadian Snowbirds conducted a special fly-past in downtown Toronto Tuesday marking the 50th anniversary of the CN Tower. The nine-jet formation completed three counter-clockwise turns around the tower before heading to Whitby — east of Toronto — for a scheduled performance honouring a team member who was killed in 1998. The team will then be grounded until the early 2030s, when they'll be equipped with a new fleet of planes.
