The very reason why Scott Summers is known as Cyclops is because of his visor. Why, you ask? That’s because Cyclopes are the legendary one-eyed giants from Greek mythology. And visors normally have a single screen opening, unlike traditional glasses where there is a lens for each eye. But the job of the visor is not to make Scott’s mutant name look more appropriate. The eyewear is life or death because this ruby-red bad boy is single-handedly responsible for preventing Cyclops from absolutely blowing up everything around him and turning his life into incinerated bits. Incineration is not the right word to be fair since his powers do not generate lasers. The powers that lie underneath the visor are some of the strangest powers in the X-Men universe that draw energy directly from a different dimension. #Cyclops #ScottSummers #CyclopsVisor #XMen97 #marvelcomics
