You know we’ve covered werewolf movies on this channel in depth before. But I’m honestly a little tired of the typical werewolf tropes—the whole teenage puberty metaphor, or the brooding, mysterious guy who turns out to be a werewolf but then falls for a girl, and whatnot. And honestly, I don’t really blame these films. Between worrying about the film budget and creature effects, choosing between the double-edged sword of practical effects or CGI, and considering the marketability and target audience, the actual werewolf aspect can sometimes get lost in the process.
