Toronto city councillor Lloyd Rang turned U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Lake America” remark into a line of Lake Ontario themed merchandise. His slogan, “My hydronyms are Lake and Ontario,” is now appearing on shirts, sweatshirts and hats. Rang is donating $10 from every item sold to Swim Drink Fish to support restoration, water monitoring and advocacy around Lake Ontario. He says the merchandise has attracted interest from across Canada and as far away as Australia and Asia, becoming a symbol of Canadian solidarity and defiance. Germain Ma reports.
